What To Expect

Before your treatment

On your first visit a full consultation will be required, so please allow a little extra time. The consultation will include questions about your health and lifestyle which can benefit me in providing you with the best treatment possible. Any information provided and all aspects of the treatment thereafter will always be treated as strictly private and confidential.

During your treatment

My promise to you is that I will provide you with the best treatment to the best of my ability at all times. Your promise to me is that you will tell me if the treatment doesn't feel suitable for you. So, if at any time during your session you feel the treatment needs adapting in any way, please do let me know. It's important to me that you are comfortable, you are warm, you are happy with any music being played, that you find the aromas in the room pleasant, that the techniques I am using are to your satisfaction and that the pressure applied is adequate and suitable. It's important the treatment you receive is right for you!

After your treatment / Home care - Very important!

A healing process is a very natural occurrence that forms part of any treatment. For some the symptoms can be very apparent, for others they may feel nothing other than sheer relaxation. Many don't realise that this process can affect them even in the lead up to their appointment as well as during or after, which can make them feel tired, out of sorts or even resisitant to keeping their booking. The best thing you can do at this time is to make it to your appointment and allow your body the time it needs to make any adjustments.

Generally after a treatment you should feel relaxed. Your body temperature will have lowered so remember to bring extra clothing with you. As the body detoxifies you may find you frequent the toilet a bit more, or you may feel thirsty. I'll ensure you are hydrated and refreshed before you leave but it's always a good idea to bring some water with you for your journey home. Keep your body hydrated in the days after the treatment and try to avoid or lower your intake of caffeine and alcohol. And most importantly, allow your body time to rest and relax.

Any response to the treatment is good. It's a positive sign that your body is starting to balance itself. Symptoms, if experienced, are only temporary, lasting perhaps a day or two. Once re-balanced you should start to feel the positive effects. You may notice you have more energy, feel revitalised, are more relaxed, calm and have an improved sense of well-being.

Should you be at all concerned with any aspect of the treatment please do not hesitate to contact me.
